Sonnets Are Easy…For Me, Anyway.
Why do these people sit here and wait for,
Their lives to quickly start and move ahead?
When they cannot decide upon what more
They want to add but take away instead.
And when, if ever, they decide to care,
About the things that must be thought about.
They will all have to run from the despair
That causes them this suffering and doubt.
But they don’t care, do they? They only see
How to punish themselves and then forget.
So wait, you’ll see, they’ll find out how to free
Themselves from that which fills them with regret.
And until then I guess they’ll have to live
Their lives without the thought of to forgive.
